Alvin Yu is a born and raised San Franciscan. He currently oversees four social enterprises spread out through the Bay Area and New York. They include Yankees stadium in New York, At&t Park in San Francisco, Levi's stadium in Santa Clara and Avaya stadium in San Jose, which combine for over $2m in annual sales. As the director, Alvin has a 360 oversight and support from three full time and 6-8 subordinates to create jobs for young people that of low-income and first in family to attend college backgrounds. Since joining Juma, his workforce development and operations has provided jobs for over 1200 jobs for young people between the ages of 16-24; also generating over $6m in sales.
Alvin’s education background is mainly in business management and finance where he gathered most of his experience from retail banks as well as an internship that led to Full-time status with JUMA Ventures. He also grew up in the food and beverage industry-working and running a small family restaurant business at a very young age.
