Since 2000, the Amputee Coalition has provided a safe place for kids to learn more about living with limb loss and limb difference. Today, it has evolved to a traditional and supportive summer camp experience — the Paddy Rossbach Youth Camp — with a focus on the campers increasing their self-confidence and self-esteem.
Canoes. Arts and crafts. Ice cream raids. Campfires. These are all important ingredients in the Amputee Coalition Youth Camp. Even more important are the lasting friendships and the personal growth. By blending counselors who live with limb differences or limb loss and an accessible traditional camp, attendees get an incredible, transforming experience every year.
Tonya Osborne-Simpson of the Amputee Coalition:
We had a great camp and the kids LOVED the recorders! Thank you again for such a wonderful gift!
Makers4Good is so pleased to sponsor this amazing camp with a donation of 70 of our adaptive recorders, Recorders For All, for camp attendees with upper limb differences. Thank you, Amputee-Coaltion, for the wonderful camp experience, the joyful smiles, and helping to make the world a bit more musical.
