Givesurance Powers Charities With Your Insurance Payments

An alum of 500 Startups called Givesurance is making it easy for consumers to donate to charities. They've partnered with some of the largest insurance companies in the country to provide consumers with rebates on their insurance premiums of up to 5%, which can then be easily donated to any charitable organization.

We like this model because it lets consumers give without spending any more than they were spending before, while at the same time it provides the companies partnering with Givesurance an extra marketing boost at much lower cost than traditional advertising.

Givesurance is a young company and it remains to be seen how much traction they'll be able to get with their idea, but we think that giving models like these are going to become quite commonplace in the coming years.
